Her daily life for the past few months has been a intricate balance between emails, calls, and meetings and album artwork approval, live shows, and video shoots.
“If I Could Tell You”, available June 2 in digital stores, captures Isabella’s interests in both the worlds of math/science and poetry/literature. A self-described nerd, Isabella draws from these fascinations about the world to create a smart, spirited collection of songs.
The record features catchy hooks including her debut single, “Passenger”, electro-pop driven tracks like “Photosynthesis”, classically influenced cinematic scores like the titular “If I Could Tell You”, as well as more emotionally driven ballads like “We Can Sleep On The Plane”. Her versatility as a performer and a songwriter helps her rise above the crowd of singer/songwriters in the LA area right from the start.
"If I Could Tell You" is the culmination of Isabella's music achievements so far, which includes awards and critical acclaim such as being awarded Top 5 finalist in Kauai Music Festival's International Songwriting Competition, opening for Grammy-winning artist Jazmine Sullivan, and more. LA Music Blog describes her as "poised for induction into the illustrious modern female singer-songwriter pantheon alongside the likes of Ingrid Michaelson, Norah Jones, et al.... with her Broadway-ready vocals and knack for poetically cerebral yet quirky lyrics."
Isabella will perform the entire new record as well as several other songs with a full band at her EP Release show at Hatch Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 13. Join the New Music Empire team as we witness the culmination of this incredible project.
