FAQ
Q: What exactly do you guys do?
A: New Music Empire is a full-service new music development company. We analyze growth areas in the careers of new artists, identify which areas need improvement, and work around the clock to make these artists into the full package. For more information on our specific services, check out the Our Services page.
Q: So, are you a record label?
A: No. We don't sign acts and release their albums like a record label. However, we help coordinate the recording, production, and release of our artists' independent albums.
Q: Can I become an Empire artist?
A: Maybe. We scout artists and seek out people we are interested in working with. If you want to get on our radar, feel free to let us know about upcoming shows or releases and link us to your primary website/Facebook/YouTube or whatever you think portrays you best. We often take on new consulting clients, but only take on new full-service clients every few months or show, and only add them in one at a time.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: It depends. For our full-service clients, we work on a percentage basis as is the industry standard. However, we also are active as consultants which is generally run on a project fee basis rather than a long term contract. If you're interested in hiring us as consultants in any of our areas of service (generally we consult in events, booking, development, branding, or marketing), please email Jane.
Q: How can I book/work with/meet/become best friends with an Empire artist?
A: Please direct all inquiries to the contact page. Note the team member who falls most closely within the realm of your request on the form.
Q: Are you hiring?
A: We're always looking for ambitious young, future leaders of the music industry. Our team primarily works with their independent clients and takes on tasks from other staff members' clients based on their areas of expertise. We take rolling applications for internship positions which are primarily remote with weekly meetings for assignments. Internships are based on the applicant's primary area of interest.
Please view our jobs page for more detailed information on our positions and how to apply.
Q: Do you have a studio/equipment/etc I can use?
A: While we don't have a full studio, we have equipment available for low-cost rental. We'd be happy to refer you to studios or other equipment rental facilities as needed.
Our inventory includes:
